Our Valentine's Day plans this year were not quite as detailed as last year's surprise date, but we still had fun. This year, we spread our celebrations out over a couple weeks. Tad planned a surprise date for me again, but couldn't wait until the actual weekend to go out, so the weekend before our 4.5 year anniversary he took me to Black Angus. I teased that this was a mistake, as it s now my new favorite restaurant.
Valentine's weekend I took Tad on a surprise date. I took him out to Red Lobster, but I wanted it to be a surprise for as long as possible, so I wrote the directions as clues that I gave him along the way. This was my first time at Red Lobster, and I was quite pleasantly surprised. I got the cocnut shrimp, Tad got the salmon, and we shared a piece of key lime pie.
I, unfortunately, got sick with a cold on Sunday. I stayed home from caravans and my internship Monday and Tad took care of me. It was very sweet, just in a different way. On Valentine's Day (Monday) Tad made orange chicken for lunch and got a pizza for dinner. He surprised me with a chocolate pasta dessert and watching The Princess Diaries. Outside of being sick, it was a good weekend.
